The Reuters report AccordingJimeng AI’s picture creation feature allows users to describe their ideas in natural language and Jimeng AI creates unique pictures for them. Users also get editing features to refine the generated photos. For video creation, users can input their ideas, after which Jimeng AI will create the video. It may take several attempts to get the desired result. The sharing option allows the creation to be shared via a link or saved to your device.
Jimeng AI has become part of a growing market for AI video tools in China. It will compete with Kuaishou’s Kling AI and Zhipu AI’s Ying, which are available to users worldwide. Shengshu’s Vidu app was also recently launched with similar features.
The first tool to create videos from text was launched by OpenAI in February in the form of Sora. Since then, Chinese tech companies have been working rapidly on creating AI video tools.
