Kashmiri Pandits Have Only One Wish to Come Back and Settle in Jammu and Kashmir

Kashmiri Hindus: Kashmiri Pandits from across the country reached Tulmulla village in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir today with great enthusiasm to celebrate the annual festival of their Kul Devi Mata Rangya. During this time, devotees were seen engrossed in worship and offering milk and sugar to the goddess. Amidst this atmosphere of enthusiasm, all Kashmiri Pandits have only one wish… to come back and settle in Kashmir.

Whether it is the devotees who have come from Jammu or the displaced Kashmiri Pandits living in Delhi-Mumbai, everyone is talking about only one thing – when will the day come when all Kashmiri Pandits will return and settle in Kashmir once again. This time a large number of young Kashmiri Pandits have also reached the fair and all of them are also talking about connecting with the land of their ancestors and their roots. At the same time, the new generation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits is also talking about coming and settling in the land of their ancestors.

Kashmiri Pandits Demanded Modi Government to Fulfill its Promises

Meanwhile, people who have come on the occasion of the festival are demanding the Modi government to fulfill the promises made to Kashmiri Pandits. According to Kashmiri Pandits, BJP government has been in power for the last ten years and Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the country but till now the promise of completely resettling Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir has not been fulfilled.

Kashmiri Pandits are Blaming Politicians for their Condition

During this time, some devotees are holding politicians and political parties responsible for their condition and are accusing them that due to their politics, no efforts are being made to rehabilitate Kashmiri Pandits. In such a situation, Kashmiri Pandit Sithanay is also appealing to Kashmiri Muslims to openly oppose terrorism and cooperate in the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. He said that we know that unless Kashmiri Muslims support us, it is not possible for us to return.

When the Modi government ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019, Kashmiri Pandits were very happy. But their dreams of return are still just dreams.
