Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder Case: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is considering conducting a polygraph test of Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. A CBI official said that some of the answers given by Sandeep Ghosh during interrogation have inconsistencies.
CBI has been questioning Sandeep Ghosh for several days. Sandeep resigned from his post two days after the incident. CBI wants to know by questioning Sandeep Ghosh whether the doctor was murdered as part of a conspiracy. According to the report, CBI had asked Ghosh what was his first reaction on hearing about the murder.
Asked the reason for making the victim’s family wait for three hours
According to information, the CBI has also asked the doctor why he made the victim’s parents wait for three hours before handing over the body. The agency told PTI that they want to confirm Sandeep Ghosh’s answers through a polygraph test.
After the incident, the reason for getting the repair done in the hospital was also known
A CBI official told PTI, “We want to confirm Ghosh’s answers because there seem to be discrepancies in the answers he has given to some questions. Therefore, we are considering the option of conducting a polygraph test on him.” The agency has also asked Ghosh the name of the person whom he contacted after getting information about the murder. Not only this, the CBI has also asked why work was done on the rooms adjacent to the seminar hall of the hospital after the incident by doing RG.
The High Court had earlier asked to interrogate Sandeep Ghosh
The questioning of Sandip Ghosh began after the Calcutta High Court said that the college principal should have been the first person to be questioned. The Supreme Court on Tuesday reprimanded the West Bengal government for the delay in filing an FIR in the case and asked what Sandip Ghosh and the hospital administration were doing after the murder was discovered. The court also said that Ghosh had tried to portray the murder as a suicide.
