Muzaffarnagar News: A non-bailable warrant has been issued against cabinet minister Anil Kumar in the Uttar Pradesh government. This case is related to the 2022 assembly elections when a case was registered against him for violating the code of conduct. Minister Anil Kumar MLA was not appearing in the court on the given date, after which the court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

The court has issued a warrant against Minister Anil Kumar. However, non-bailable warrants have already been issued against three other accused who organised his meeting. The next hearing in this case is scheduled for September 18. Anil Kumar is a minister in the Yogi government from the Rashtriya Lok Dal quota.

Know why the warrant was issued
Anil Kumar contested the 2022 assembly elections from Purkaji reserved seat on Jayant Chaudhary’s Rashtriya Lok Dal ticket. During the election campaign, a meeting of his was organized in Khampur village on 6 February 2022. This meeting was organized without permission, after which the police registered a case in Chhapar police station for violation of the code of conduct.

In this case, apart from Anil Kumar, a case was registered against Imran, Gayyur, Parvez of Khaspur who had organised the meeting, and 200 unknown people. On September 2, the accused Imran and Gayyur got their bail by recalling the warrant, but during this time Anil Kumar did not appear in the court, the court has now issued a non-bailable warrant against him. The next hearing on this will be on September 18.

RLD had contested the UP assembly elections in alliance with the Samajwadi Party. However, later before the Lok Sabha elections, RLD separated from the All India Alliance and joined the NDA. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the UP cabinet was expanded, in which Anil Kumar was made a cabinet minister from the RLD quota.
