PM Modi’s visit to Russia: Regarding his visit to Russia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the special strategic partnership between India and Russia has strengthened over the last 10 years. I am looking forward to reviewing all aspects of bilateral cooperation with my friend President Vladimir Putin.
Before leaving for a two-day visit to Russia and Austria, PM Modi said, “The special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia has grown further in the last 10 years, covering areas such as energy, security, trade, investment, health, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people contact.”

Prime Minister Modi said that I am looking forward to reviewing all aspects of bilateral cooperation with my friend President Vladimir Putin and sharing views on various regional and global issues. He further said, “We want to play a supportive role for a peaceful and stable region. This visit will also give me an opportunity to meet the vibrant Indian community in Russia.”
PM Modi and Putin will meet on Tuesday at the 22nd India-Russia annual summit. During this, they will discuss ways to further expand bilateral relations in various fields. After completing his visit to Russia, the Prime Minister will leave for Austria. This will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister there in the last 40 years.

Prime Minister Modi described Austria as India’s ‘steadfast and reliable partner’ and said that during this visit he will have the opportunity to meet President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Karl Nehammer. He said, “Austria is our steadfast and reliable partner and we share the ideals of democracy and pluralism.”
PM Modi said, “This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in the last 40 years. I look forward to our discussions to take our partnership to greater heights in new and emerging areas of innovation, technology and sustainable development.”
