The full moon of Sawan month or Shravan is falling on 19th August, Monday. This day is considered very holy, auspicious and important in Hinduism.
The festival of Rakshabandhan is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Savan. This day is the last day of the month of Savan. In the year 2024, this day is falling on Monday, on this day the last fast of Somvar of Savan will also be observed.
Bathing and charity on the full moon day of the month of Savan have great importance. Fasting and worshiping on this day brings blessings of Lord Shiva.
Abhijeet Muhurta on the full moon day of Sawan month will be from 12:04 to 12:55 pm on August 19, the auspicious time for bathing and donation will be from 04:32 to 05:20 in the morning.
Lord Satyanarayana is also worshipped on the day of Purnima. On this day, worship Lord Shiva with full rituals and offer water, milk, Bel leaves, fruits and flowers on the Shivling.
