News in Supaul: A major accident took place in Nirmali police station area of Supaul on Thursday morning where two students died due to electric shock, while the third was seriously injured. The deceased have been identified as the sons of Rajendra Mandal, a resident of Velsingarmoti Ward 1. The deceased include 16-year-old Jai Prakash Mandal and 19-year-old Om Prakash Mandal who were students of 11th and 12th class. After this incident, the family members of the deceased are crying inconsolably. Meanwhile, the police have reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

The accident happened when Rajendra Mandal along with his three sons and others went to rescue the cattle trapped in the swamp of Kosi river. While rescuing the cattle, two students came in contact with the electric wire in the nearby field and got electrocuted. While trying to save them, the third brother also got electrocuted. Two students died in this incident. The condition of the third student is critical and he has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Police statement came in the case
After the incident, there was chaos in the house of the deceased. Nirmali police station in-charge Anirudh Kumar has confirmed the incident. He said that two students died due to electric shock. The third injured student is now out of danger. All were immediately taken to Nirmali SDH Hospital, where doctors declared both the students dead. The police took necessary action and sent the bodies to Sadar Hospital Supaul for post-mortem.
