Maoist encounter in Telangana: Six Maoists were killed and two security personnel were injured in an encounter with police in Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Thursday (September 5). Police sources said that one personnel is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment. Bhadradri Kothagudem District Superintendent Rohit Raj said, “An encounter took place between police and Naxalites this morning in Telangana’s Bhadradri Kothagudem district.”
9 Naxalites were killed in Chhattisgarh two days ago
Nine Naxalites were killed during an encounter in the Dantewada-Bijapur forest on Tuesday (September 4). The bodies of nine Naxalites killed in an encounter with security personnel were brought to the morgue at Dantewada District Hospital in Chhattisgarh yesterday. Dantewada SP Gaurav Rai said that a large number of SLR rifles, .303 rifles and 315 bore rifles have been recovered from the Naxalites. All the security personnel involved in the operation are safe. After the encounter, Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai on Tuesday saluted the bravery of the soldiers and said that the BJP has been fighting Naxalism since coming to power and it will be wiped out soon.
Home Minister Amit Shah had talked about eliminating Naxalites
Earlier this year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Left Wing Extremism will be completely eradicated from the country by March 2026. He had said, “Left Wing Extremism will be completely eradicated from the country before March 2026.” Amit Shah said that the fight against Left Wing Extremism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in its final stages. He said that now is the time to make a final attack against LWE with a strong strategy and ruthless approach.
