Trending Videos: A city in central Gujarat, formerly known as Baroda, is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River and is now known as Vadodara. The rising water level of the river led to the river water overflowing into the city, forcing more than 15,000 people to leave their homes. However, this situation did not only displace humans, but crocodiles also entered residential areas.
Vishwamitri river is a favourite home of crocodiles
Though the recent rains have brought some relief with the water level in Vadodara receding, the Gujarat flood nightmare is far from over for some, especially in Vadodara. After suffering huge losses and waterlogging, the city is now grappling with another problem: the crocodile menace. The Vishwamitri river is home to a large population of these crocodiles, and Vadodara is no exception.
