Will SAARC remain only in documents? Even PAK tried to revive it, India rejected the proposal

SAARC Latest News: Now the existence of SAARC can be limited to documents only. This is because on Tuesday (October 1, 2024), India rejected the proposal which was related to reviving SAARC. The most interesting thing is that the initiative to revive SAARC was taken by India’s neighboring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan. All three countries wanted to revive it. The request was made by Nepal during the meeting of SAARC Foreign Ministers (on the sidelines of the UNGA Summit) in New York. However, India rejected it.

India bluntly said that it will not attend any such meeting until Pakistan takes some responsible steps to prevent terrorism. In fact, a SAARC meeting or conference cannot take place unless all the member countries agree. If even one country/member refuses to participate then the meeting does not take place.
